The Freshers’ Day celebration at SMCAS on 9th July 2024 was a memorable event, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming students. Held in the college auditorium, the event saw the enthusiastic participation of over 200 freshers. The celebration was graced by the esteemed Principal, Dr. V. Subathra, whose presence added great significance to the occasion, her inspiring speech motivated the new students, encouraging them to embrace the myriad opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. A key highlight of the event was the introduction of the Heads of Departments (HODs). Each HOD shared insights about their respective departments, providing the freshers with a glimpse into the academic and extracurricular activities they can look forward to. Adding to the vibrancy of the day, students performed various colorful dance performances, showcasing their talents and enthusiasm. These performances not only entertained the audience but also demonstrated the diverse talents present within the new batch of students. The day was filled with excitement, warm welcomes, and engaging interactions. It provided a platform for new students to familiarize themselves with the college environment, meet faculty members, and connect with their peers.
