Organized by Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science February 21-22, 2025 | Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science (SMCAS) successfully organized a two-day International Conference on Mathematical Modelling and Computational Innovations on February 21-22, 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students from various universities and colleges, with over 1000 attendees and 100 research papers presented in both online and offline modes across four parallel sessions. The conference commenced with a welcome address by Dr. K. Venkatesan, Associate Professor in Mathematics and Convenor of the Conference. This was followed by the inaugural address by Dr. V. Subathra, Principal of SMCAS. A key highlight of the event was the release of the conference proceedings (Book of Abstracts) by the Principal and Vice principal of SMCAS, along with the Heads of the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Applications. The proceedings were then handed over to the day’s chief guests: Dr. Rajakumaran Murugesan, Taylor’s University, Malaysia Dr. S. Meenakshi, Vels Institute of Science and Technology & Advanced Sciences Dr. R. Latha, St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research This gesture recognized the collaborative efforts of these disciplines in advancing research and innovation. Day 1 featured engaging technical sessions and research presentations, covering various aspects of mathematical modelling and computational innovations. On Day 2, the conference continued with insightful sessions delivered by distinguished speakers, including: Dr. C. Sivagnanam, University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Sur, Sultanate of Oman Dr. C. Mahadevan, Gandhigram Rural University, Dindigul Dr. A. Selvam, VHNSN College, Virudhunagar The event concluded with the valedictory address by Dr. D. Muruganandham, Vice Principal of SMCAS, who commended the participants for their valuable contributions and expressed gratitude to the organizing team, speakers, and attendees for making the conference a grand success. The formal proceedings ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. S. Priya, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, who extended heartfelt appreciation to the esteemed guests, speakers, participants, organizing committee, and technical team for their collective efforts in making the conference a resounding success. The conference provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, fostering collaborations, and exploring innovative research ideas in the field of Mathematical Modeling and Computational Innovations.
A series of engaging technical events were conducted for our students on September 16, 2024, under the banner of Techsphere 2024. The objective was to foster practical skills, encourage innovative thinking, and enhance technical knowledge among the participants. The events were held at the auditorium, featuring a variety of activities designed to challenge and inspire the students. The Intra-Departmental Sports Meet held on September 3, 2024, was a vibrant event conducted by the Department of Computer Applications. The meet brought together students from various academic years and featured a diverse range of sports, including cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, tennikot, carrom, and ring ball. The event fostered healthy competition and team spirit among participants. It concluded with an award ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the participants and promoting a culture of sportsmanship within the department.
Today, on April 18, 2024, we commemorate not only a farewell but also a celebration of the exceptional contributions of BCA students. We gather to honor the chapters written together and bid adieu to those who have been integral parts of our journey.

New saplings were planted and the place was proudly named as BCA GREEN HEAVEN which stood as an exemplary model to all the other departments. This event was inaugurated by Dr. D. Muruganandam, Vice Principal, on 9th October 2023. Debugging event was organised on 09.10.2023. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners and students.
