Department of Maths with CA : Millet Food Festi

The Department of Mathematics with Computer Applications organized a Millet Food Festi on 12.09.2024, inaugurated by Dr. V. Subathra, Principal and Dr. D Muruganandam Vice Principal as chief guests. Thirty students participated,  showcasing a variety of nutritious millet-based dishes. The dishes were displayed for other students as well. The event aimed to promote healthy eating and sustainability through creative culinary displays. It fostered student engagement and highlighted the importance of traditional grains. Awareness Event Hosted by Internal Complaints Committee

On September 4, 2024, the Internal Complaints Committee of our college hosted a highly successful awareness event, presided over by our esteemed Principal, Dr. V. Subathra. National Sports Day 2024: Celebrating Major Dhyan Chand’s Legacy and Promoting Physical Fitness at the Department of Physics

The Department of Physics celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August 2024 in the presence of the Principal and Sports Committee. The event was held to honor the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player, and to emphasize the importance of sports and physical activities in students’ lives. On this occasion, Dr. M. Mohanbabu, HOD of Physics delivered the welcome address and Dr. V. Subathra, Principal gave a special address. Various sports competitions including Chess, Carrom, Tennikoit, Badminton, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Throw ball were organized for the students by sports coordinators Dr. E. National Space Day 2024: Inspiring Curiosity and Passion for Space Science at the Department of Physics

The National Space Day celebration was held on 23rd August 2024 at the Physics Laboratory, Department of Physics with CA, coordinated by Mr. J. Arunkarthikeyan, Asst. Prof. of Physics. Dr. M. Mohanbabu, HOD of Physics delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of National Space Day in fostering interest in space exploration. Various competitions such as Rangoli, Drawing, Paper presentation, Speech and Scientific models were organized to engage the students. Dr. V. Subathra provided an overview of the day’s events and their relevance to Physics. Principal Dr. V. Subathra welcomed the gathering and emphasized the significance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork and leadership skills. She highlighted the college’s efforts in promoting sports and physical education, encouraging students to actively participate. Vice Principal Dr. D. Muruganandam spoke about the modern developments in Physical education and sports. He encouraged students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, balancing academics and physical activities. Dr. P. Sivaraman, the chief guest, delivered a keynote address on the importance of sports in higher education. Inauguration of Maths Expo 2024: Showcasing Student Innovation and Creativity

The Maths Expo, organized by the Mathematics with Computer Applications department, was inaugurated by Vice Principal Dr. D. Muruganandam on September 2, 2024. Thirty-five students actively participated, showcasing their projects and mathematical models. The event attracted approximately 400 visitors, including faculty and students. The visitors were impressed by the creativity and problem-solving skills demonstrated by the students of our department.

Awareness program on Drug Abuse and POCSO through lecture and Rally

On August 29, 2024, the two NSS Units along with the YRC, RRC, and Drive against Drugs Committee, organized a awareness program on Drug Abuse and POCSO through lecture and Rally. The event was led by the chief guest, Mrs. G. Amudha, Sub-Inspector of Police from Chengalpattu District, who delivered an impactful speech on the dangers of drug abuse and the features of the POCSO Act in protecting children. Following her address, students and staff participated in a rally through key areas of the community, carrying banners to raise awareness. The college Principal and Vice Principal  took part in the event. The program successfully engaged participants and the local community, spreading crucial messages about drug prevention and child protection.

The health and hygiene committee of our college took a right set of circumstance to conduct an awareness programme to all the female students regarding their intimate hygiene. The session has been kick started in the morning in our college auditorium around 10.30am. The principal and Health hygiene committee members delivered an absolute need advice regarding intimate and hygiene for the female students to all the departments.
