INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY- 2024

10th year International Yoga Day was observed on 21st June 2024 by Physical Education Directors, NSS, YRC and RRC Units of the college. Smt. Sasirekha & Ms. Shilpa, Yoga Trainer of Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, was the Guest of the day and 60Sports student, YRC, RRC & NSS Volunteers and Teaching staff also eagerly participated in the yoga event.Thanks to our Prime Minister for his soulful support in uplifting the yoga practice in day-to-day life for our bright and healthy future.

Empowering Educators: Enhancing Personal and Professional Growth through a 5-Day Faculty Development Programme

The Faculty Development Programme on “Personality Development for Teachers” at Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, took place from 14th to 18th February 2023. The event covered topics like mental health, financial management, yoga, teaching methods, and personal growth, led by experts in each field. The programme concluded with a valedictory address by Principal Dr. V. Subathra, celebrating the participants’ commitment to professional development and continuous learning. The 14th Annual day was celebrated on 6th April 2024. The Chief Guest was Dr. Archana Prasad, Principal, M.O.P Vaishnava College for women, Chennai. On the eve, the donors gave away the Endowment Scholarships to the needful students and Secretary of the college gave away prizes for subject toppers, Language toppers and Centum scorers. For the third time in succession, two faculty members Dr. P. Amul Sofiya, Head and Associate Professor of Tamil Department and Mrs. N. Devi, Associate Professor of Tamil Department received Cash awards and Memento for 10 years of continuous service. Cultural programmes were also held.
