The NSS Units I and II, along with the DAD Committee of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, organized a Drug Awareness Mega Sign Campaign and Pledge Taking Program. On August 29, 2024, the two NSS Units along with the YRC, RRC, and Drive against Drugs Committee, organized a awareness program on Drug Abuse and POCSO through lecture and Rally. The event was led by the chief guest, Mrs. G. Amudha, Sub-Inspector of Police from Chengalpattu District, who delivered an impactful speech on the dangers of drug abuse and the features of the POCSO Act in protecting children. Following her address, students and staff participated in a rally through key areas of the community, carrying banners to raise awareness. Hariharasudhan, Block Medical Officer, Madurantakam and Dr. Priya nandhini Govt. Hospital Madurantakam, who served as the chief guest. The college Principal and Vice Principal also participated in the event, which aimed to promote environmental sustainability and awareness among students.
