NSS Activities

On August 23, 2024, the NSS Units I and II,  YRC and RRC of our college, jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Madurantakam Government Hospital. The event witnessed a  response, with 43 units of blood donated by students and staff. The camp was conducted under the guidance of medical professionals, ensuring the safety and well-being of all doners. The initiative highlighted the commitment of our college towards social responsibility and community service.

The two Nss units organized a “Cybercrime awareness programme” on 8th July 2024. The Chief guest was Mr B Dhanasekaran, Sub-Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police station, Chengalpattu District. He made a PowerPoint presentation to explain about the topic. He elaborated on the case he dealt with. The programme was attended by Mr N Raja, the Sub-Inspector of Police of Madurantakam. The gathering was welcomed by Mr. E.Gurunathan, NSS Programme Officer and thanked by Mr R Dhineshbabu, RRC Programme officer.  173 students attended the programme.

On March 20, 2024, an awareness program on road safety was jointly organized by NSS and RRC, featuring Mr. Manimaran, the Traffic Inspector of Police, as the chief guest. Mr. Manimaran provided insights into traffic rules and the repercussions of non-compliance to approximately 250 actively participating students.

As a sequel, 2000 more palm seeds were again been planted at Edaikazhinadu Beach, East Coastal Road on 01.10.2023

Two NSS units and DAD committee has jointly organized a programme “A Discussion on the features of POCSO and Drugs abuse” on 27-09-2023. The Chief Guest was Mrs. C. Thamizhselivi, Inspector of Police, All Women Police station, Melmaruvathur.

On the occasion of Periyar’s Birthday on 17-09-2023 an oath for abolition of untouchability was taken by all the students in their respective classes.

A Phenomenal event was organized by the NSS unit to plant a total number of 2000 palm seeds in the east coast road on 13.09.20203 It was an historical initiative took for making the Earth even more greener

Inauguration of First year NSS volunteers was held on 11-09-2023. The Chief Guest was Mr. Na. Ayya Pandiyan, PG Assistant in Tamil who is also the NSS Programme Officer, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Orathi.
