Teachers day was celebrated on 5th sept 2022 Students entertained the faculty members with dance, skits and poems.

The Inauguration of first year classes took place on 24.08.2022. The occasion was graced by Mrs. C. Ezhil M.A., M.Ed., M.Phil., Head Mistress of Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Thozhupedu. 350 students and 200 parents partook in the function. After lightening of kuthuvizhzakku by 3 first year students and their parents. The Principal Dr. V. Subathra, addressed the gathering and enlightened the audience on the administration and management of the college. The chief guest gave her piece of mind on having a goal in life. Then the parents and students were hosted with sweets, snacks and coffee. The students then were taken on a entour to the entire campus by their department HOD and staff members. 

Anti-Ragging Cell of our college organized an awareness programme on 20.08.2022 to inculcate in the minds of students the evil effects of Ragging. Mr.Shankar , an advocate, practicing at Madurantakam court was the Chief guest. He rendered a detailed lecture on “What all can be termed as Ragging? what are the legal punishment for Ragging?”. It enlightened the students on the legal complications of ragging to motivate them to stay away from the Act. It was organized by the convener of the cell Mr C.Iyyappan and his team.

The Career Guidance and Placement Assistance Cell of our college organized a placement drive on 18th August 2022. Muthoot Finance and ESAF foundation participated in the job fair to offer placement. Out of 58 students, Muthoot Finance selected 13 Alumni and ESAF foundation has recruited 5 students. All these 18 students will be placed in Madurantakam and Acharapakkam branches. This drive was organized by Mr.K.M.Sundharavaradhan and his team

The Independence Day was celebrated in Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science with National fervor on 15th August 2022. The celebration started with Prayer, Tamizhil Thai Vaazhthu and Flag song followed by hoisting of flag by our Principal Dr.V.Subathra. After the flag hoisting, she addressed the gathering on the importance of celebrating Independence Day at home level “Har Ghar Tiranga ” (taking patriotism to the house). Dr.S.Thirumalai, Vice- Principal stressed the importance of remembering the Military people at this time. Students entertained the audience with dances, songs, speeches and poems about our Independence and National leaders.

Drive against Drugs (DAD) was launched by the Honorable Chief Minister on 11.08.2022 at 10:30 a.m. As a part of this drive, we arranged a program on awareness on drug abuse and its menace for our students. During which the students witnessed the launch celebration of this day which was live streamed. The students listened to the emotional appeal made by our Chief Minister and took the pledge along with him as he administered in the live stream. All of them vowed to stay away from drugs and help others to redeem from drug abuse.  

Dr. V. Prakash, received Best NSS Programme Officer Award for the year 2021 – 2022 from University of Madras for his extraordinary contribution to college NSS activities

Staff and NSS students of  Sri Malolan College participated in welcoming 44th Chess Olympiad Torch at the venue Mahabalipuram.
