Sri Malolan College Signs MoU with Shreyas Global to Enhance Accounting Skills and Career Opportunities Sri Malolan College Signs MoU with Shreyas Global for “Accounting Excellence” Training The Career Development and Placement Cell of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shreyas Global on 2 September 2026, in the presence of Dr. V. Subathra, Director – Academics, and Dr. D. Muruganandam, Principal. The MoU aims to provide industry-oriented training and career development opportunities for students. As the first initiative under this collaboration, an “Accounting Excellence” training programme was organized for students of Commerce and Management. Around 150 students benefited from the programme. Mr. T. R. Srinivasan, CEO and Head of Corporate Affairs, Shreyas Global, served as the Resource Person. The programme was supported by Mr. T. R. Srinivasan, CEO, Mr. Subramaniam, Country head and Ms. Aishwarya, HR Manager, Shreyas Global, along with the college management and faculty members. A series of training programmes will be conducted in the coming months to enhance students’ professional and employability skills. Students who successfully complete the training and perform well in the year-end selection process will have opportunities for employment in audit and accounting firms in Chennai. The initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration and creating career opportunities for students.

Strengthening Employability: Value-Added Courses on Accounting and Technical Skills

The Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) organized Value Added Courses to strengthen students’ practical knowledge and employability skills. The Tally course, conducted by Prof. K. Raja (Department of Commerce), commenced on 05/02/2026. Office Automation and Basic Hardware began on 12/02/2026 and it was handled by Prof. A.C. Kothandaraman (Department of Computer Science), and the Training Programme on Basic Hardware session was led by Prof. V. Kumaresan (Department of Computer Application). A total of 100 students benefited from these Value Added Courses. The participants actively engaged in practical sessions and gained confidence in using accounting software, office tools, and hardware components. The programmes significantly enhanced their technical competency and job readiness.

Two-Day Training Programme: Essential Skills for the Corporate World

The Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) , organized a Two-Day Training Programme on “Essential Skills for the Corporate World” on 09/02/2026 and 10/02/2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 01.30 p.m. The programme was conducted in association with Magic Bus India Foundation. The resource person for the training was Mr. Sakthivijay, Program Manager, Magic Bus India Foundation. More than 150 students from various departments actively participated in the training programme.

Five-Day Workshop on “Next-Gen Intelligence” for Final-Year Students

The Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) organized a five-day workshop titled “Next-Gen Intelligence: Innovative Approaches in AI and Data Science” for final-year students from 3rd to 7th February 2026. The sessions were handled by faculty members from Dvein Solutions. The workshop provided in-depth exposure to emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, along with practical insights and hands-on learning experiences. A total of 120 students actively participated and benefited from the programme.

CDPC Organizes Two-Day Training Programme: “Unlock Your Potential”

The Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) organized a two-day Training Programme titled “Unlock Your Potential” for final-year students on 29th and 30th January 2026. The programme was led by Shri S. Swathi, Founder and Managing Director of Softlyric Technologies, who served as the Resource Person. The sessions focused on enhancing students’ self-confidence, communication skills, career readiness, and professional development. More than 200 students actively participated and benefited from the programme.
