Career Guidance Programme for 12th Students

On October 17th, 2025, Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, organized a Career Guidance Programme for 12th-grade students. The event, held at the college auditorium, aimed to support students in making informed decisions about their future academic and career paths. Expert speakers Dr. P. Amul Sofia and Mr. A. Karthick guided students through various career options, requirements for higher education, and in-demand skills. The programme saw enthusiastic 116 participation from students, who interacted actively and raised thoughtful questions.

Seminar on “AI in Weather Forecasting”

A seminar on “AI in Weather Forecasting” was held on 23rd September 2025 at 12 PM in the college auditorium. The program began with a prayer and welcome by Dr. M. Mohanbabu, followed by the felicitation of our Principal Dr. D. Muruganandam & Vice Principal Mr. K.N. Babu and the Chief Guest Mr. A. Karthick, Assistant professor in computer applications. The Chief Guest shared valuable insights on Artificial Intelligence in Weather Forecasting with live examples, followed by an interactive Q & A session. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Commerce in future with Artificial intelligence

The Department of Commerce with Computer applications organized a workshop on “Commerce in future with Artificial intelligence” on 19th September 2025. Dr. V. Navaneetha Kannan, Head, Department of Commerce at SRM Arts and Science College, has served as the Chief guest and resource person. He delivered an insightful lecture on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Business analytics. The programme enriched the student’s knowledge of emerging technologies and motivated them to explore AI based tools and career opportunities in the field of commerce.

நீரின்றி அமையாது உலகு” என்ற தலைப்பில் குழந்தைகள் விழிப்புணர்வுத் திரைப்படம் 18 .09 .2025  அன்று கல்லூரி கலையரங்கத்தில் ஒளிபரப்பு செய்யப்பட்டது. மொத்தம் 800 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட  மாணவர்கள் இந்த காணொளியைப் பார்வையிட்டனர்.

Teachers’ Day 2025 – A Day Full of Fun, Laughter, and Memories

The students of SMCAS along with Staff Colloquium committee came together to honour and appreciate their beloved teachers. The events were lively, funny and joyful. The celebration began with the speech of Director, Principal, Vice principal and also from students which highlighted the invaluable role of teachers in shaping their future. The true highlight of the day was the series of funny games and activities organized by the studentsespecially for the staff members.It was actually a break for teachers from their routine. All teaching and non-teaching staff members actively participated in all games. Fewof those funny games were balloon walking, pyramid collapsing, tongue twister, identify images of staff members, identifying biscuits merely by tasting, think differently etc were organized. These were competing as staff members showing their fun side which turned out to endless cheers and laughter making everyone happy like never before. Students cheered and thanked their mentors. The bond between mentors and students became stronger. The staff’s enthusiastic participation and sporting spirit made the event truly memorable. All together the day ended leaving behindeverlasting and cherished memories.

Teacher Appreciation Day Celebration – Physics

The Teachers’ Day celebration was held on 4th September 2025 at 10 AM in the Physics Laboratory to honor and appreciate the precious service of teachers to society, organized by Students of our department. The program began with a warm welcome by V. Karthika from III B.Sc. (Physics with CA). Motivational speech was delivered by Dr. M. Mohanbabu, HOD of Physics who emphasized the significance of teachers in shaping the future of students with their endeavors followed by the speeches from our department staff members. The celebration featured various cultural performances by the students, including Speeches, songs, dances, and poetry recitations, all rendered to their teachers.

ADMIN PRO 2025

The Department of BBA organized an one-day program titled “Admin Pro” on 22.08.2025 at Auditorium. The program aimed to enhance the administrative and professional skills of students, providing them with practical exposure and opportunities to develop leadership qualities. Various sessions were conducted during the program, including games culturals etc., which provided participants with valuable insights and hands-on experience. Students actively participated in activities showcasing their talents and creativity.

EYE HEALTH CARE CAMP

The YRC and RRC Units of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, in association with M.N. Eye Hospital, Perungalathur, organized a Free Eye Health Care Camp on 04.09.2025 at the college campus.The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 300 students undergoing eye check-ups conducted by the expert medical team from M.N. Eye Hospital.This initiative helped create awareness about the importance of eye care and early detection of vision-related issues among students.

Blood donation camp

The YRC and RRC Units of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 02.09.2025 in association with the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Egmore, Chennai.The camp was inaugurated by Dr. V. Subathra, Director – Academics, Dr. D. Muruganandam, Principal, and Mr. K. N. Babu, Vice Principal of SMCAS.A total of 63 volunteers generously donated blood during the camp. To acknowledge their noble contribution, appreciation certificates were distributed to all the blood donors.
