Badminton selection trials have been conducted for University of Madras

On July 2nd, 2024, the badminton selection trials have been conducted for University of Madras at 11 am. The event was graced by Dr. V. Subathra, Principal, Dr. D. Muruganandam, Vice Principal, and Mr. K. N. Babu, IQAC Coordinator. Ms. C. Muruugeswari and Mr. M. Murali, the Physical Directors of the college, were instrumental in organizing the arrangements for the trials. During the event, the Principal spoke to the students about the significance of sports, emphasizing their importance in overall development. The Vice Principal encouraged students to actively participate in zonal level sports competitions. Dr. M. Mohanbabu, HOD of Physics and a Sports Committee member, hosted the proceedings as the emcee. Mrs. C. Murugeswari delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event successful. Following the formalities, students enthusiastically engaged in playing badminton on the same day.

10th year International Yoga Day was observed on 21st June 2024 by Physical Education Directors, NSS, YRC and RRC Units of the college. Smt. Sasirekha & Ms. Shilpa, Yoga Trainer of Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, was the Guest of the day and 60Sports student, YRC, RRC & NSS Volunteers and Teaching staff also eagerly participated in the yoga event.Thanks to our Prime Minister for his soulful support in uplifting the yoga practice in day-to-day life for our bright and healthy future.

The Faculty Development Programme on “Personality Development for Teachers” at Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, took place from 14th to 18th February 2023. Industrial Visit to Tea Factory at Ooty (B.Com(CA))

The department of commerce with computer application drew up a plan to go for an industrial visit to the tea factory located in Ooty. The trip was scheduled from 8th March 2023 to 11th March 2023. A total number of 136 students along with 3 faculties visited the tea factory to encounter the mechanism of tea powder making.  It was really an amazing experience.

Educational trip was organized by department of commerce

The Department of Commerce at Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science orchestrated an educational excursion to Karnataka, unfolding over two days from March 1st to March 2nd, 2024. A total of 55 students and six faculty members partook in this immersive learning endeavor. Departing from Madurantakam on February 29th, 2024, our tourism bus embarked on the journey to Karnataka. The return leg concluded back in Madurantakam on March 3rd, 2024.

Date: 04.03.2023 Place of Visit: Chidambaram Temple and Pitchavaram SUMMARY: A group consisting of 47 students from the Department of Physics, accompanied by 5 staff members, embarked on an Educational cum Cultural Tour to Chidambaram Temple and Pitchavaram on March 4th, 2023. During their visit, the students were astonished to witness the center of the earth depicted at the Chidambaram Natarajar Sanctum.

DATE: 29.10.2022 PLACE OF VISIT : BM Birla Planetarium, Kotturpuram, Chennai–600025. SUMMARY: 50 students of Department of Physics with CA went for Field visit to BM Birla Planetarium, Kotturpuram, Chennai – 600025 on 29.10.2022. At the Planetarium, the sky science and astronomy was explained through different telescopes, different parks for their curriculum based learning of Environmental studies and eight galleries for their concept enhancement.
