The Youth Red Cross unit of Sri Malolan college of Arts and Science, to promote the importance of organ donation and dispel myths surrounding it, an awareness programme was conducted on 27th January 2025 at Auditorium. The event was organized by Youth Red Cross in collaboration with Chengalpattu Govt. Medical college and Hospital, Chengalpattu. The programme witnessed an enthusiastic response from 250 participants, including students, faculty members. Many attendees expressed their willingness to contribute to this noble cause by signing organ donor pledge forms. The YRC, NSS Units of Sri Malolan college of Arts and Science, the General Medical Camp was organized on 1st February 2025 at BIRD Old Age Home, Perumperkandigai, to provide essential General healthcare, Eye care, Ortho Care, Neurology and Dental health care services to elderly residents and give their lunch in 54 elderly residents. The event was a collaboration with Karpaga Vinayaga Medical Sciences, Madurantakam. The medical camp witnessed participation from 54 residents and caregivers. The initiative was well-received, as it addressed the immediate healthcare needs of the elderly and raised awareness about preventive health measures.
