Akash, a First Year B.A Tamil student of our college, has made a commendable contribution by authoring approximately 35 Tamil articles on Wikipedia, promoting the Tamil language and knowledge on a global platform. In recognition of this notable achievement, he was invited as a Guest Speaker by Annai Theresa Arts and Science College, Thirukazhukundram to deliver a talk titled “விக்கிப்பீடியாவில் நீங்களும் எழுதலாம்”. This recognition brings great pride to our institution. The Management, Director, Principal, Vice Principal, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff congratulate Mr. R. AIDS Awareness Programme

The two NSS units and the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of our college successfully conducted an AIDS Awareness Programme in collaboration with Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research on 22-12-2024. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about HIV and AIDS and to promote responsible and healthy behavior. Doctors delivered informative sessions explaining the causes, modes of transmission, symptoms, prevention methods, and available treatments for HIV/AIDS. They also addressed common myths and misconceptions and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, safe practices, and social responsibility towards people living with HIV/AIDS.

கல்லூரியின் உள் புகார்க் குழுவும்  போதை  தடுப்பு விழிப்புணர்வு குழுவும் இணைந்து 12.12.25 அன்று  நடைபெற்ற கல்லூரி மாணவர்களுக்கான விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சிக்குகல்லூரி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் உ. சுபத்ரா மற்றும் கல்லூரி முதல்வர் த. முருகானந்தம் ஆகியோர் தலைமை தாங்கினர்.   கல்லூரி துணை முதல்வர் பாபு அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டார்.முனைவர் பா.அமுல் சோபியா வரவேற்றார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் காவல்துறை உதவி – ஆய்வாளர் அமுதா மாணவர்களிடையே பேசும்போது,  போதைப்பொருள்,பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைகள், ஆதிதிராவிடர் மற்றும் பழங்குடி மாணவர்களுக்கு அரசு வழங்கி வரும் கல்விச் சலுகைகள் குறித்தும் பேசினார். கைப்பேசி, முகநூல், புலனக் குழுக்களில் பெண் குழந்தைகள் தங்களது புகைப்படம் வைப்பதைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும் என்று அறிவுறுத்திய உதவி ஆய்வாளர் அமுதா சமூக குற்றங்களில் எவரேனும் ஈடுபட்டால் உடனடியாக புகார் தெரிவிக்க அவசர உதவி எண் 100, பாலியல் குற்றங்கள் தொடர்பாக 1098,சைபர் குற்றங்களுக்கு 1930 போன்ற எண்களைத் தொடர்பு கொண்டு பயன் பெறலாம் என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்.இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் சுமார் 300 மாணவர்கள்  கலந்து கொண்டனர். உடற்கல்வி பேராசிரியர் முரளி  அவர்கள் நன்றி கூறினார்.

Patel’s birthday celebration

The two NSS Units of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, observed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birthday as National Unity Day. On this occasion, the volunteers took a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation. As part of the celebration, a unity rally was organized outside the campus to create awareness about the importance of national integration. In addition, an essay competition on the theme “Iron resolve, Iron Nation” was conducted to encourage students to express their views and understanding of unity and patriotism.Following the rally and essay competition, the volunteers actively participated in a Swachhata Activities in the campus cleaning programme, promoting the values of cleanliness and social responsibility.

On October 17th, 2025, Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, organized a Career Guidance Programme for 12th-grade students. The event, held at the college auditorium, aimed to support students in making informed decisions about their future academic and career paths. Expert speakers Dr. P. Amul Sofia and Mr. A. Karthick guided students through various career options, requirements for higher education, and in-demand skills. The programme saw enthusiastic 116 participation from students, who interacted actively and raised thoughtful questions.

A seminar on “AI in Weather Forecasting” was held on 23rd September 2025 at 12 PM in the college auditorium. The program began with a prayer and welcome by Dr. M. Mohanbabu, followed by the felicitation of our Principal Dr. D. Muruganandam & Vice Principal Mr. K.N. Babu and the Chief Guest Mr. A. Karthick, Assistant professor in computer applications. The Chief Guest shared valuable insights on Artificial Intelligence in Weather Forecasting with live examples, followed by an interactive Q & A session. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Navaneetha Kannan, Head, Department of Commerce at SRM Arts and Science College, has served as the Chief guest and resource person. He delivered an insightful lecture on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Business analytics. The programme enriched the student’s knowledge of emerging technologies and motivated them to explore AI based tools and career opportunities in the field of commerce.

Disaster management awareness

The Tamilnadu Government Fire Service Deaprtment conducted a “Disaster Management” awareness programme  on 12.09.2025 at Madurantakam lake. The Chief guest was Ms.Saranyadevi , the District Revenue Officer, Madurantakam Taluk Tahsildar, RDO and District fire officer were also present. The team demonstrated to rescue process of drowning people, perform CPR and save livestock animals during emergencies. all NSS volunteers from our college actively participated in the event.
