Mass Anti-Drug Pledge Campaign

Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science organized a Mass Anti-Drug Pledge Campaign under the guidance of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 11th August 2025  to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free society. The event was held in the presence of the Principal, Dr. V. Subathra, and Vice Principal,               Dr. D. Muruganantham, along with faculty members, NSS, and YRC volunteers. The Principal addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of saying no to drugs and leading a disciplined life. All the students, teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated in the pledge-taking ceremony, solemnly committing to stay away from drugs and to encourage others to live a drug-free life. More than 1000 participants joined the campaign, making it a meaningful and impactful event.

Drug free Tamilnadu Campus challenge

Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science actively participated in the #DrugFreeTNCampusChallenge organized under the guidance of the Government of Tamil Nadu from 5th August 2025 to 10th August 2025 to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among the student community. As part of the campaign, students promoted the #DrugFreeTNCampus message on social media platforms, including Twitter and Instagram, by posting awareness content, pledge statements, posters, and short videos encouraging a drug-free lifestyle. A total of 600 students took part in the challenge, making the campaign widely visible and impactful online. This digital awareness initiative successfully reached a broader audience beyond the campus and motivated peers to join the cause of building a healthy, drug-free society. Anti Drug club award

The college has secured II place in the Anti-Drug Club category and III place in the Events category for its outstanding contribution to the anti-drug awareness campaign initiated by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Appreciate the remarkable efforts of Dr. S. Priya, Convenor of the Drive Against Drugs Committee, and Mr. E. Drug Awareness Mega Sign Campaign and Pledge Taking Program

The NSS Units I and II, along with the DAD Committee of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, organized a Drug Awareness Mega Sign Campaign and Pledge Taking Program. The event, attended by more than 1,000 students and staff, was graced by the college principal, Dr. V. Subathra, who emphasized the importance of a drug-free society. Participants signed a banner pledging to stay drug-free and took a collective oath led by  NSS Programme Officer. The program successfully raised awareness and strengthened the commitment to a drug-free campus.

Awareness program on Drug Abuse and POCSO through lecture and Rally

On August 29, 2024, the two NSS Units along with the YRC, RRC, and Drive against Drugs Committee, organized a awareness program on Drug Abuse and POCSO through lecture and Rally. The event was led by the chief guest, Mrs. G. Amudha, Sub-Inspector of Police from Chengalpattu District, who delivered an impactful speech on the dangers of drug abuse and the features of the POCSO Act in protecting children. Following her address, students and staff participated in a rally through key areas of the community, carrying banners to raise awareness. The college Principal and Vice Principal  took part in the event. The program successfully engaged participants and the local community, spreading crucial messages about drug prevention and child protection.

Drive Against Drugs (DAD) Committee organized an Awareness Programme along with Pledge taking with the aim of educating students about the dangers of substance abuse. The objective was to foster a Drug free environment for youth and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The guests were Mrs. N. Drug abuse awareness program

The Drug Awareness Program, conducted on 15.11.23, aimed to educate and raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse within our community. The program focused on providing comprehensive information on various aspects of drug abuse, including its impact on health, addiction, risk factors, prevention strategies, community support, legal consequences, and avenues for recovery.Our chief guest was Mrs.P.Lokeshwari ,Inspector Prohibition and Enforcement Wing (PEW)Madurantakam. Oath taking agianst drugs was observed on 11.08.2023 which was arranged by two NSS units and Drive Against Drug Committee wherein students took pledge to stay and help others stay away from narcotics and alcohol
