Date            : 06.08.2025Venue         : College Auditorium The 14th Annual Sports Day of our college was inaugurated on 6th August 2025 at the college auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation from students and staff alike. The programme was presided over by our esteemed Principal, Dr. V. Subathra, and Vice Principal, Dr. D. Muruganandam, who graced the occasion. In their addresses, they emphasized the importance of sports in students’ overall development and encouraged everyone to actively take part in physical activities for a healthy lifestyle. The Inaugural day included indoor events such as: Chess (Men & Women) Carrom (Men & Women) Badminton (Women)  

On August 14, 2024, the KABADDI court re-establishment inauguration and selection trials have been organized for the students and staff. The event was graced by Dr. V. Subathra, Principal, Dr. D. Muruganandam, Vice Principal, and Mr. K. N. Babu, IQAC Coordinator. Ms. C. Muruugeswari and Mr. M. Murali, the Physical Directors of the college, made necessary in arrangements for the trials. During the event, the principal spoke to the students about the significance of sports, emphasizing their importance in overall development and urged the students to utilize all the facilities creation by management. The Vice Principal encouraged students to actively participate in zonal level sports competitions. Dr. M. Mohan Babu, HOD of Physics and a Sports Committee member, the compered proceedings as the emcee. Mr. M. Murali delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event successful. Following the formalities, students enthusiastically engaged in playing badminton on the same day.

On July 2nd, 2024, the badminton selection trials have been conducted for University of Madras at 11 am. The event was graced by Dr. V. Subathra, Principal, Dr. D. Muruganandam, Vice Principal, and Mr. K. N. Babu, IQAC Coordinator. Ms. C. Muruugeswari and Mr. M. Murali, the Physical Directors of the college, were instrumental in organizing the arrangements for the trials. During the event, the Principal spoke to the students about the significance of sports, emphasizing their importance in overall development. The Vice Principal encouraged students to actively participate in zonal level sports competitions. Dr. M. Mohanbabu, HOD of Physics and a Sports Committee member, hosted the proceedings as the emcee. Mrs. C. Murugeswari delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event successful. Following the formalities, students enthusiastically engaged in playing badminton on the same day.

Our college took an excellent chance in organizing inter school competitions where various indoor games and outdoor games were organised Football was conducted on 8th of October, Carom on 11th of October and the athletic events on 25th and 28th of October.

University of Madras conducted an ‘A’ Zone Kabaddi Tournament for Women on 19/10/2023 at Chellammal College for women.

Kalaignar International Marathon 2023 was all set to fire on 6th of August 2023 at Marina Beach. 47 students from our college took active participation in the 5 kms Marathon and successfully completed it.
