On Account of the AIDS day an awareness program was observed on 01.12.2023 with the aim of raising awareness about AIDS /HIV Addressing stigma associated with the disease prevention measures. A back drop was provided by TAMIL NADU STATE AIDS CONTROL SOCIETY in which our District Educational Officer Dr. P.Iyyasami was the guest of the program. Our Principal Dr.V.Subathra initiated the signature campaign in Our Campus followed by students were given an awareness about this day and signed the board. As part of this event a pledge was taken initiating to prevent and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The 77th Independence day was celebrated with National fervour and our Principal Dr. V. Subathra unfurled the flag.

The Alumni meet was held after Independence day celebration. 120 Alumni belonging to different batches were present. They were entertained with Dances, Poems and Songs by present students. One of the Alumni also gave a stage programme in Western dance. After discussing tasks, the meeting ended.

The department of Economics, Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Maduranthakam has jointly organized a Workshop series with A.M.Jain College, Chennai, on 19th July 2023, in collaborates with International Goodwill Society of India(IGSI) and Indian economic Association(IEA) on the topic of “Economic matters- what and why the domain of Economics is significant? careers in economics and purpose over profit”. Around 250 students had participated.

The inauguration of First year students took place today. The Principal , Dr . V. Subathra gave motivational speech to the freshers. The heads of various departments were introduced.

Congratulations to Ms. V. Subha of B.Sc(Mathematics) (2019-2022) for having secured first rank in the Examination held by University of Madras. Appreciation to the Head and Faculty members of Department of Mathematics.
