The two NSS units and the DAD Committee of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science, Madurantakam, organized a Drug Awareness Programme and Anti-Drug Pledge on   11 August 2026 to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. An Anti-Drug pledge was administered by Mr. Deepak Rajini, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madurantakam, was the Chief Guest. Mr. Ezhumalai, Inspector of Police, and Mr. Inayanath Basha, Sub-Inspector of Police, Madurantakam, also participated and addressed the students on the dangers and legal consequences of drug abuse. A total of 543 students and 13 staff members participated in the programme, which successfully promoted awareness and responsibility among the students.
