NSS Day Celebration, Inauguration & Orientation Programme – Fostering Social Responsibility and Service

The two NSS Units of Sri Malolan College of Arts and Science observed NSS Day and organized the NSS Inauguration and Orientation Programme on 24 September 2026. The programme commenced with tree sapling plantation as a symbol of environmental responsibility and social service.

The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. K. Sankara Narayanan, Assistant Professor & Head i/c, Sangappalagai for Tamil Development, University of Madras. In his address, he highlighted the role and importance of NSS in developing social responsibility, leadership qualities and a spirit of service among students. He motivated the NSS volunteers to actively participate in community service and contribute to the welfare of society.
