79th Independence Day Celebration – 2025

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2025 with National fervor. The event commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the singing of “Tamizhil Thaai Vaazhthu” (the Tamil anthem), and the Flag Song. The National Flag was then unfurled by the college Principal, Dr. V. Subathra, amidst patriotic chants and applause.

In her address to the gathering, Dr. V. Subathra, Principal spoke on the significance of Independence Day and highlighted the importance of the nation is making giant strides towards realizing the Government’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, the theme of this year’s celebrations is 
“Naya Bharat” initiative, encouraging everyone to bring the spirit of patriotism into their homes.

Vice-Principal Dr. D. Muruganandam, in his speech, stressed the importance of honoring and remembering the sacrifices of military personnel, who continue to protect the Nation’s freedom. He urged the attendees to be mindful of their invaluable contributions and followed by National Anthem.

The celebrations continued with students performing a variety of programs, including patriotic songs, stirring speeches, and heartfelt poems about India’s independence and its National leaders.
